More Information
Celebrate Recovery provides a safe place for people to address their ownstruggles in a community of grace and honesty. Some of these struggles include codependency, sexual impurity (including pornography-based), controlling behavior, anger, being an adult child of a dysfunctional family,or even having strong feelings of guilt and shame thatwe allow todistance ourselves from God and others.
Celebrate Recovery uses the 8 Recovery Principles and 12 Steps below to guide a Christ-focused recovery process, supported by gender-based sharing groups that practice the following five guidelines at every meeting:
- We keep our sharing focused on our own thoughts and feelings and we limit our sharing to 3-5 minutes.
- We do not cross talk as we share in our groups. Cross Talk is when two individuals engage in dialogue, excluding all others. Each person is free to express their feelings without interruption.
- We attend to support one another. We do not attend to fix each other.
- ANONYMITY and CONFIDENTIALITY are basic requirements. What we share in the group stays in the group.
- We don't use offensive language in our groups.
