At St. Mark's we offer a variety of ministries to meet the needs of all members from the very young to the young at heart! Below you will find links and more information on just a few of our ministry services, but many more are available. Children

A church without children is a church without a future. At St. Mark’s, we understand the importance of focusing on our kids; and that’s why we've created different ministries that cater to two of the major age groups:

High School Ministry

Students in high school, grades 9-12 and ages 14-18 years. We serve youth from throughout the DC Metro area. Through dynamic Sunday School lessons and Friday night activities. Please join us!

Primetime Ministry

Prime Time College Ministry is a group of youth aged 18-24 who meet on a weekly basis to engage as fully functioning member of St. Mark’s through small groups, Friday night activities, and Sunday meetings.

Support

At St. Mark’s, we have over fifteen support ministries to help our church run like a well-oiled machine to include organizing church parking, IT and AV support, and church’s bookstore functions. There’s a piece of St. Mark’s that needs your help. Our support ministries aim to make St. Mark’s a true sanctuary without distraction.

Young Adults

We are YAM!  The Young Adult Ministry (YAM) aims to provide young adults and professionals in the DC Metro area a comfortable environment to meet, discuss relevant social topics, and share spiritual thoughts in a safe Christian setting  YAM is a self-serve ministry, where the more individuals engage, the more benefit the group gains

Family

A family that prays together, stays together! St. Mark’s makes an effort to focus on the individuals in your family, but we know that the family unit is just as important. St. Mark's has several ministries focused on marriage-enhancement and parenting.

Fellowship Groups

Koinonia Fellowship Groups (KFG) are focused on fostering discipleship and fellowship. We want the members of this Church to encourage one another to grow spiritually and to connect with one another as members of an extended family.

Women’s Ministry

The goal of women’s ministry is to nourish women’s souls with spiritual food. It is our desire to bring together the women of St. Mark’s and the surrounding community to grow together in love, strength, honor, wisdom and fear of the Lord.

Good Shepherded Christian Academy

Good Shepherd Christian Academy (GSCA) began as Little Flock Christian School, a preschool established by St. Mark’s church serving children ages 3 and 4 years old. Our story of growth and development is exciting.

Alpha & Omega School

Mission Life Center

The Mission Life Center provides people with the opportunity to share God's love through short term and long term global missionary work, spiritual and medical care in the local community, and supporting children orphaned by AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.

Support

St. Verena’s Library

St. Verena’s library contains a huge collection of English and Arabic books, DVDs, VHS tapes with many rare textbooks, commentaries on the Bible for the churches’ fathers like St. John Chrysostom, St. Kyrolos the Great, St. Athanasius as well as contemporary fathers like Pope Shenouda, Fr. Mathew the Poor, Fr. Tadros Malaty in addition to many other great Christian writers.

St. Joseph’s Ministry

Database Ministry
